Doctors use the microkeratome or femtosecond laser during surgery to make the corneal flap. After the creation of a flap, microkeratome or femtosecond laser will be removed. They move the flap carefully to expose the corneal tissue.

The laser apparatus will be positioned over the eye. If eyes are in a satisfactory position, then the doctors start the laser treatment. Don’t be scared about the new smells or tickling sounds during Lasik surgery. The laser will ablate the exact amount of your corneal tissue. A shield will be placed around eyes for protection.
